Chittenden County Candidate Vermont Senate
Our freedoms and rights are paramount. We as Vermonters and Americans have our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. These documents set us apart from the rest of the world. I love our state, & the USA. Our children need to have opportunities and their rights, freedoms, and futures protected and available just as we did. I believe we each need to take responsibility for our own health and everyone's FREEDOM.
Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
My mom emigrated from Norway when she was 12 years old and grew up in NYC. My dad was from farming folk Pennsylvania. Both my parents put themselves through college. They were my favorite people.
They brought me up in Skaneateles, NY. We spent Summers on Lake Champlain and many winters skiing with family in Vermont & New York. I graduated from Denison University in Ohio with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology.
I lived in the Boston area from 1988 to 2003 where I worked for a chain of ski and bike shops doing marketing and promotions. I then worked with my significant other for 10 years in construction and property management in Massachusetts and then New Hampshire.
I currently own a small Shelburne business and I am involved with property management and construction projects.
I am a single mom with two teenagers; a daughter who attends UVM and a son who is homeschooling and taking some classes at CVU.
